I did the buffet on Friday. The food and service was good. I went shorty after the lunch hour and it wasn't too busy. Nice selection to choose from or to simply try if you're inquisitive. Buffet is priced at $15.99, and in my opinion just a few dollars more than fast food.
OMGOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo Listen. I adore indian food for some time and have been to all the places around. This one is currently a very close call between one of my two favorites. The most DELICIOUSNESS iv'e had in so long. Perfectly flavored while not being overly spiced or overly rich. Even the chutneys were on point always a good sign. Paneer 65 first. Fantastic. Then we had the Fish Malabar and the Chicken Korma. OMGGGGG. Very good combination. It was just on point. Fish Malabar flavor was only slightly better. Oh and great service as well :). Definately will be back and probably for many visits to try more things.
Best Indian food in town. We had gone out with friends and the service and the food both surpassed everything we have had in Alpharetta.
Great place and delicious food
Went to Utsav for dinner and really really enjoyed the SERVICE & the FOOD. Utsav has taken its rightful place as my favorite Indian food restaurant. Their soup, mango lassi, and paneer are fresh and flavorful. I left full but wanting to eat more! The owner and his partner are inviting and open to patron suggestions. The cost is about 2 $ signs and worth every penny in my opinion. My husband and I would be extremely disappointed if Utsav closed. I'm already planning my next visit and what I'll order that I didn't order this time. We will definitely be back even though it's location is a little further than we usually travel but again it is so worth it. They have event rooms too so bring all your Indian food loving friends with you and enjoy.
The restaurant is very nice and the food is good! Not a place that you can easily find in the area! My husband and I definitely enjoyed our time there and will again!
We were visiting from NJ and had dinner at this place with some friends. Great food and very friendly staff. Overall a very good experience.
This is easily the best Indian cuisine restaurant in town! The prime location, the ambiance, paired with great food is the best recipe for an amazing experience! The food arrives fast, but the food isn't raw--it's wonderful and the food bursts with flavor in my mouth! I had the butter chicken, naan, and the red and green chicken. Its the best place to come with family, and the drinking options are endless!! All in all, a well deserved 5/5.
This is a fairly new Indian restaurant in Johns Creek. Open 3 months ago. I was here on Sunday for the lunch buffet at $12.95 per person.
The food was delicious. They had Idli and some delicious sambar and chutney.
Goat Curry which was delicious, and I also enjoyed the fish curry.
Great food an even better ambience ! Goat curry, butter paneer, ginger chicken, double ka meetha all are yummy ! Highly recommend for all time dining and family functions
Good food. The Buffet is not huge in terms of number of items overall pretty good. Good service. Will be back regularly
I attended a private party at this location. The party venue was small but good enough for a party of about 30-40. The light was dim but not dark.
The food was very flavorful. The starters included Baby Corn 65, Veg Samosa and Chicken Malai Tikka. I did not have the Samosa which I was told was a bit spicy, the Malai Tikka and the Baby Corn was spot on. I would have preferred smaller cuts of chicken but that is a personal preference.
The main course included Dal Makhani, Paneer Masala, Saag Gosht, Veg Biriyani and Roti/Naan. I had everything except the Paneer and found a lot of flavor in each of the dishes. A lamb dish is the "acid test" of a restaurant's chef/kitchen capabilities and they scored 10 on 10. The flavors came together, the lamb was tender and infused with flavors. The gravy was of the desired thickness and you could taste the spinach.
The Veg Biriyani also scored 9 on 10. It looked deceptively hot but it was aromatic with the use of cardamom, bay leaf, and cinnamon. I would have preferred more variety of vegetables, but again it is a personal preference.
The only thing that I found an issue with was the service. While the manager was attentive to our requirements, there was not a single person dedicated to taking care of the group. A demanding group would not have been happy.
I also found the wait staff conspicuous with their lack of visibility. I went to the restroom twice which was attached to the main restaurant and on the other side from the party room and I did not see wait staff both time and the restaurant was quite busy. I am not sure how people rate this place on service, but will not be surprised if they score low.
The restaurant has a modern decor and is clean. The location is great and has ample parking. I think they should move away from the "Indian Buffet" model to a quality dining Indian restaurant.
There chicken lollypops are the best !!! Chicken gravy was tasty, naans were soft and perfectly cooked. Tasted chicken biryani but I felt rice was undercooked. Overall experience was good.
To ensure consistency, I waited until our second visit to post a review. Go here! You will not be disappointed. Stuffed naan is a must. Have had several chicken and two goat dishes.....scrumptious and spiced to your preference. Dining area is clean and upscale without being stuffy. There were plenty of guests, yet the owners/staff exemplify "we truly appreciate that you chose to dine with us".
I've only been to their lunch buffets. Today I tried the creamy cauliflower soup it's the best that I've ever tasted. Their buffet has a nice selection of Indian food ; their staff is warm and very friendly and the interior decor is nice.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This is by far the best Indian restaurant we have here in Johns Creek. We have eaten here several times and also have had the food to go. The portions are very generous and the flavors are always great. When my in laws, who are British and eat lots of curry, come to town this is where they want to go. It really is a great place to enjoy a night out. It is relaxed inside but also nice enough for a date with my wife. Chicken tika masala is the way to go!! Lots of different Naan to choose from too.
Wonderful service! Even better food! We got there around 11:30 am and watched as the place filled up with the lunchtime crowd. The waiters were extremely thoughtful and brought us several things to try as well as made suggestions for sauces and food combinations. The atmosphere is very attractive and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We definitely recommend the masala tea and the mint chutney. The buffet had a great variety and we left feeling full and satisfied. We will most certainly be returning here!
Just went to this restaurant for the first time. The food is Fantastic, huge servings, very fresh and hot. The staff are great, very helpful...will definitely go back
We love coming here! Such friendly wait staff and fresh food. The butter masala and garlic naan are delicious. For the price and servings, it's a wonderful place to go for date night, or with family!
Really nice Indian food; would especially recommend the baby corn and chicken tikka.
And if you are there than chai is a must as well with some gajar ka halwa
Hi, went to this place with my husband and two children twice now and that is because it is so amazing. The staff is outstanding, the food is outstanding, the atmosphere is outstanding, and the price is reasonable. It is a diamond. It is a Must go to place. Love, love, love it!!!!
I visited Utsav for the first time Friday night. It is now my favorite Indian restaurant around. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful without being annoying! The food is excellent and the prices are good. I will be going frequently! Thanks!!
Very flavorful Malabar Shrimp will bring me back. Also tasted butter paneer which was very tasty too. All in all a good addition to the area.
Really enjoyed this restaurant- tasty food and very attentive service. The decor and interior of the restaurant is clean, modern and open and set a great first impression. Service was attentive and quick, and waiters were very friendly. Recommend the paneer tikka and the cauliflower Manchurian! Both were very tasty. The naan is to die for, it was soft, fresh and thin- not too chewy and thick like many restaurants tend to make. The mango lassi was well sweetened and not syrupy- it was very well made as was the mango kefir. Would recommend this restaurant to others!
Found Utsav restaurant as the best in Ala carte dishes. We tried Malai Kofta, Paneer butter masala. Gobi 65, baby corn manchurian. All were of good quality and tasted best of all the restaurants in Alpharetta/Johns Creek area in my opinion. Naans were soft and well cooked.
Staff is very cordial. I would give 5 stars.
We ordered paneer chilly curry and it was just amazing.
Just the spice we wanted. Service was good. Ambience was also nice. Would have been better if the music was not so loud. First time we tried this restaurant. Good experience.
This is a great place. People are friendly, serve you quickly and the food is amazing. I love the atmosphere as well. It's a must see, eat, drink and be filled!
I had my surprise birthday dinner here. Very very yummy drool worthy food. Good Authentic Indian ambiance, great service and attentive staff.
I am expecting it to do very well. Thank you for making my day special. :)
A quick suggestions. Work on good dessert list it helps wrap the (good)spicy delicious food!
Hopefully you sustain the good quality.
We will be back!
I'm a vegan and came here for lunch. The staff was super friendly and super helpful with showing me vegan options and providing lots of amazing vegan things. Come here if you're vegan or vegetarian (or a meat eater!), day the food is great.
Good common Indian favor but nothing special. The prices seem to be on higher side when there's nothing to differentiate. Staff was attentive though and quite professional.
Can go there again but not first priority. There are better options available in the area.
The food is fresh, clean and full of flavor. There are many vegan options on the weekends but you can always find at least several on weekdays too. I really loooove Indian food and it's taken me a while to find a spot with vegan options at the buffet. Others would only have literally ONE curry option. But Utsav has so many and they serve fresh naan (ask without butter if vegan) I highly recommend it to anyone. Good to eat with a family member or friend for lunch. Today was my second time and I'll be back!
We went to celebrate my wife's BDay and were not disappointed. The Hakka noodles were really good and so was the butter chicken.
My wife was surprised with a Ghajar Halwa with a bday candle...that was a nice touch.
Great ambience and attentive staff and Bijal the hostess was really nice and understanding.
A nice place to go with the family and enjoy the good food. Worth going again!!
Amazing! Let me start off by saying that I've avoided this place because it took over one of my favorite Persian locations. I was an idiot! Wife and I both had the buffet and were fascinated from the start. Wonderful selection of dishes, vegan, chicken, seafood all representing hard. If I had to pick two things that truly make this place stand out from the rest: 1) Quality and flavor of the food - No canned potatoes here and every single dish I ate (probably 10+) were all spiced to perfection. Deep and rich flavors abound. 2) Service - from our entrance to exit the staff were warm, helpful and so very attentive. These people run a restaurant right! One tip to patrons.., their chicken tandoori is spicy. I absolutely love it and think it's the best I've had in Atlanta however I wouldn't give it to my kids. Cheers and welcome to the neighborhood to whoever owns this place and all that work there. I will be back many many more times.
I was delighted today in this upscale Indian cuisine restaurant . Their tandoori bread is fresh baked, and is served warm in the table. They have buffet Tuesday to Sunday. I tried their signature dishes and enjoyed their different options and flavors. Their tea is a unique mixture of lime and has a soft taste of tea. The service is absolutely one of the best in the area. Great place for meetings and parties. Thanks to Rah and Pankaj for inviting me today to try their restaurant and for the good conversation. It was a pleasure. I will spread the word to my Indian attorneys friends!
My husband and I went to Utsav for dinner last night. Chicken Vindaloo and Vegetable Chetinaad were excellent, spicy, even made us sweat. Glad to have a good Indian restaurant near home.
The food was amazing! The chicken curry and chicken tikka Masala were both so tasty and the goat vindaloo as well! Garlic naan with chilies was delicious. The rice pancake is a great gluten free option. Service was top notch. Found my new favorite Indian experience!
Excellent, very fresh food on the buffet. Naan bread is thin and crisp. Delicious soup too.
Delicious food! Saag paneer, butter chicken, goat curry, samosas! A new restaurant to Johns Creek that should be your go to for Indian dishes.
Amazing staff which catered to all our needs, ESPECIALLY the delicious food!
